Two Charged Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were subsequently released.
This event – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
