Aryna Sabalenka in action
The Belarusian player concluded the year with an outstanding twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive season.

The twenty-seven-year-old secured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open in September versus Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of High Performance

Across the season, Sabalenka played in a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with defeats coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the whole season as the world number one, ending 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she became the first player to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Numbers

Sabalenka ended the season with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and earned a historic ÂŁ11m in earnings.

She earned nearly eighty percent of the votes submitted by international tennis media.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "elevate women's tennis to a higher level".
