Administration Decries 'Democrat Fabrication' as Additional Epstein Estate Photographs Released
Democratic lawmakers have published a new tranche of what they termed "disturbing" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—plus another 70 unveiled later on Friday represent a tiny fraction of the approximately 100,000 images released to the House oversight committee, which is examining the actions and ties of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking crimes.
Notable Figures in the Photos
Among the prominent personalities shown in the opening set are well-known figures including movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Reaction
The White House addressed the release in a statement, charging Democrats of selectively "hand-picking" the images for partisan aims and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson stated, maintaining that "this presidency has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding disclosure, disclosing numerous documents of records, and calling for more inquiries into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photographs were released lacking captions, but per a California Democrat and senior member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's connections to wealthy individuals.
"The moment has come to halt this White House obfuscation and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he said in a comment.
The publication of these documents coincides with the House panel continuing its investigation into the affair.
